Robert VanderMyde, MA, LPC
Counselor
Robert is a teen counselor and child counselor who specializes in helping clients overcome problems associated with past abuse or neglect. Robert believes in creating a safe environment for his clients to be able to heal from past trauma associated with abuse and neglect. He believes that it is his responsibility as the therapist to create a positive therapeutic setting to allow for healthy therapeutic relationships to form.
Robert also has experience working with teens and children on the Autism Spectrum and is able to provide counseling for their unique needs.
Robert uses a variety of therapeutic approaches in his sessions, including Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Robert varies the use of his techniques so that he is using the best approach for the individual needs of his clients.
Robert has afternoon and evening availability in our Farmington office.

Robert enjoys spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and dogs.
