Jamie Montgomery MA, PLPC
Jamie is a therapist under the supervision of Jenny Murphey. Since every story is unique, Jamie says that she is fond of working with nearly every client that has walked through her door. She especially enjoys helping children and teens learn new ways of managing anxiety and stress, and helping parents learn about new ways of approaching parenting and difficult situations with their kids.
Jamie believes every person is the expert in their own life and has the innate ability to overcome the challenges they face once they are shown the correct way. She considers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy as most effective approach in helping her to do just that.
Jamie incorporates humor, insight, and compassion while getting to know her clients and building an authentic relationship. She believes this helps them feel comfortable and in a safe place while she provides the support and honest feedback they need in order to grow, learn and change. To accelerate client’s progress, Jamie believes clients need to use what they learn in session in their daily lives and often assigns homework to help them practice their new skills during the week.
Jamie has afternoon and evening availability in our Farmington office and in our Arnold office.
