Rebecca Ihle – Therapist

Rebecca Ihle Counselor

Rebecca Ihle MA, PLPC
Counselor

Rebecca is a therapist under the supervision of Kimberly Osmanagic. Rebecca specializes in adolescent therapy for ages 14-17.

Rebecca practices mostly from a Polyvagal Theory perspective. In her counseling sessions, Rebecca values providing a safe, non-judgmental, and non-bias space for all of her clients. She uses techniques from several therapeutic modalities through the lens of an ecological perspective anchored in Person-Centered, strengths-based, and emotions-focused therapy, with a particular focus on somatic experiencing, mindfulness, affect phobia, and the autonomic nervous system’s relationship and adaptation to social behavior and our daily lives.

In describing her approach to therapy, Rebecca says, “My role in the therapeutic relationship is to help the client explore and resolve life’s troubles by becoming more aware of maladaptive patterns of thinking and behavior that may contribute to problems and develop adaptive patterns and personal skills to manage future challenging life events. It is my belief that all people are capable of change and have the ability within themselves to resolve their own problems, though sometimes we many need a little assistance in therapy.”

Rebecca has afternoon and evening availability in our Fenton office.
