Mellisa Hubbs MA, CIT
Counselor
Mellisa is a counselor under the supervision of Derek Stricklin. Mellisa specializes in child, teen, and family counseling. Mellisa enjoys working with children and teens of all ages, and has experience in several areas of focus, including anxiety and grief.
As a counselor, Mellisa believes that every client is a unique individual, so the therapy process is different for each client. Mellisa structures her counseling sessions to best fit her clients’ specific needs.
Family counseling is also an important part of Mellisa’s counseling sessions. Mellisa understands the importance of helping families come together as a whole unit, working together to make positive changes in her clients’ lives, as well as their entire families’ lives.
Mellisa uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, Acceptance and Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
Mellisa has afternoon and evening availability in our Farmington office.
Education:
Master in Elementary Counseling form Missouri Baptist University.

Mellisa enjoys reading and quilting. She especially loves spending time with her kids and grandkids.
