Kevin Kidd, LPC
Kevin specializes in child and teen counseling. Kevin works with children struggling with ADHD, defiance, anger problems, anxiety, trauma, and depression. Kevin has worked in the Mental Health field for over 12 years. Nearly all of Kevin’s experience is working with children, especially teen boys.
Kevin uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with many of his clients when it is appropriate. Kevin believes in the importance of helping his clients to identify and find solutions to their current problems. Kevin has completed training in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has completed his first year of Neuro-Sequential Model Trauma Training (NMT).
In working with his clients, Kevin also takes into account family systems and past trauma as they may impact the present situation. Kevin says that his main goal is always helping a person to improve their lives and reach their potential. No two clients are ever the same. They all have different goals, issues, and potential. Kevin understands the importance of individualizing treatment for all of his clients.
