J. Brandon Jones Ed.S., LPC
Counselor
Brandon is a teen counselor who specializes in anxiety, depression, and trauma counseling.
Brandon works with children ages 10 and older, but he especially enjoys working with teenagers. Brandon believes that it is especially important to help children and teens identify who they want to be and what kind of life they want for themselves. Brandon believes that when his clients feel supported and understood, they can achieve their goals.
Brandon uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including Person-Centered and Attachment Theory. However, he will vary his techniques to meet the individual needs of his client, including using Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques when appropriate.
Brandon has afternoon and evening availability in our Cape Girardeau office.

Education Specialist in Counselor Education and Supervision from Southeast Missouri State University
Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University
Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Child from Southeast Missouri State University

Brandon enjoys reading, cooking for family and friends, and playing guitar and banjo.
