Ava Johnson MA, PLPC
Ava is a therapist under the supervision of Deborah Oliver. Ava specializes in working with children and teens who need help with anger management, trauma, or are overcoming new circumstances in their lives. In her work with children, Ava understands that out of the ordinary experiences can have a deep impact on children. She believes in helping her clients work through these experiences so that they can move forward happier and healthier.
Ava uses a combination of play therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in her therapy sessions. Cognitive Behavior Therapy is her “go to” resource for helping her clients achieve lasting results. At the same time, Ava understands the importance of play for her younger clients. It is often through play that children are able to work out solutions to the problems they are facing.
Ava splits her time between our Arnold and Farmington offices. She has afternoon, evening, and Saturday appointments available.
Master of Arts in Counseling from Lindenwood University
